El Sitio is a place in the middle of the old Canarian Sancho estate and was lovingly designed and built by the two artists Dietmar and Natan Teutsch, inspired by Cesar Manrique. Nature becomes art and art blends harmoniously with nature.

The building was carefully built into the rock and offers a feeling of security, similar to a cave. The large round windows and the special location allow a breathtaking panoramic view of the vineyard, the fragrant pine forests and the endless Atlantic Ocean.

Enjoy your time out in the vacation home El Sitio with our exclusive private sauna for up to six people. The sauna is directly attached to the residential building and is located in a former bodega made of hand-hewn basalt stone, which was built in traditional Canarian style.

You have the choice between a Finnish sauna with up to 90 ° or a bio steam sauna with 60 °. Experience pure relaxation on La Palma!

Experience unique nature at El Sitio with our private natural shower made of basalt stones and beach stone mosaics as well as the round cut riverbed gravel. Access to the pool area via the vertical rock gardens with fragrant herbs and endemic plants is another highlight. Our fragrant citrus and herb gardens provide delicious ingredients for cooking and enjoyment.

Enjoy the morning sun and a panoramic view of the mountains on our large southeast-facing relaxation terrace with two comfortable wooden garden loungers.

Another south-facing terrace directly in front of the house is equipped with a stone table with 4 seats and a stone lounger with specially made seat cushions. Here you can enjoy the sunset over the clouds and the endless view of the Atlantic Ocean while enjoying our house red wine and olives from the finca.

Additional offer Hot Tub: Enjoyt a hot bath under La Palma's starry sky. In our wooden barrel you can experience the soothing and relaxing effect of 1500l of fresh mountain water, heated with wood and flavored with fresh herbs growing in the rock garden. We will gladly inform you on site about all further details and availabilities.

Please givet us at least one day in advance so that we can use the hot tub for You reserve and can prepare everything well. Much pleasure wishes the Hacienda team!

We have spent a beautiful week in this house! The equipment is very good, the furnishings tasteful and coherent. We especially liked the sauna and outdoor shower. The tranquility of this place is unique and the view of the starry sky is difficult to describe with words. Gladly again!

The complex is excellently designed and built with high quality materials such as wood and slate very tasteful and round. Each unit offers privacy and has seating in the respective garden or terrace. El Sitio has its own sauna and outdoor shower. The pool area is built above the units and offers a fantastic view over the clouds in the evening. A small paradise in the green north of the island!

The Hacienda is beautifully nestled in nature, in complete undisturbed tranquility. The pool area is tasteful, with a view of the Atlantic Ocean. Rich vegetation, in the evening a wonderful starry sky. The bread offer a welcome enrichment for the breakfast table. The outdoor area of "El Sitio" a real pleasure.

A very special place: Living on the vineyard under fascinating starry sky. Quiet and natural accommodation with luxurious facilities. Ideal starting point for hikes, and to relax in the sauna or pool afterwards. First class wine from own cultivation. Here you notice the handpicked harvest and that the wine is prepared with love. Everything is thought of here by the landlord. The kitchen receives a basic equipment with spices, oil, detergents, dishwasher tabs, etc., even a washing machine with detergent is available. Attention is paid to sustainability and home-baked rolls and self-produced almond paste are sold. At night, with a clear sky, you can see all the constellations above the hacienda. Our host Christian fulfilled all our wishes and was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean, the W-LAN always available in good quality, the existing grill on the terrace top and thanks to the fly screen can be slept with open patio door in the bedroom. We can highly recommend this particular accommodation and there is definitely a risk of repetition.

a finca perfectly integrated into the vineyard. If not alone La Palma would be worth a trip, then definitely the El Sitio. Thank you that we were allowed to be here. A big thanks also to Christian, who immediately responded to everything, because yes after the forest fire evacuation - fortunately the property was not affected by the fire - not everything worked again. It was a wonderful stay that we will gladly repeat.

A wonderful place to switch off and enjoy. Already at the first sight of the incredibly great facility in nature you are enchanted and forget everything around. In person, the place and the house and the terrace is even more beautiful than in the pictures. Absolutely recommendable ...! Thanks for the great care of Benjamin (who takes care of the green magic landscape all around) and Christian (it was all perfect from arrival to departure!). For astronomers and aspiring astronomers a perfect place for stargazing! We will come again 🙂

3 weeks at El Sitio a dream of rest and relaxation. From the beginning to the end everything fit. We were very well taken care of by Christian and Benjamin. Thanks again for everything. The all-round carefree package. The outdoor shower , pool and the absolute tranquility were for us city people the absolute hit. Every evening there was an impressive starry sky to watch. The house has a very nice interior. Simply a dream. We are totally enchanted that there are such beautiful places in the world still.

For some things and places it is difficult to find suitable words - the domicile El sitio on the hacienda is one of them. Tremendously beautiful quiet unique - that might be something. The house is impeccably furnished, the wellness gimicks of sauna and outdoor shower sweeten the days, the surroundings and the view are a delight - no wish remained unfulfilled.

As a sharever hobby astronomer my special recommendation, unfortunately only a few devices about Athos to get great would be in the future on the site Existing observatory or astro columns with mounts and equipment. - adventurous journey to the beautiful no man's land in the vineyards above the clouds - warm welcome by staff members who were often on site and approachable at any time and showed themselves as absolutely competent connoisseurs of the property and the island - chic accommodation, which at the same time radiated a lot of warmth - there from the first minute a feeling of well-being, also because the accommodation is so beautifully clean and decorated with fresh flowers from the garden. with fresh flowers from the garden - fascinating the sunsets, the milky way and the silence on the estate - we come again - then with Panda Cross instead of Clio 😉

Incredibly beautiful and quiet location. For us after overcoming a cold and still slightly bruised just the right place to recover. We were very friendly welcomed by Christian and the whole team. After detailed briefing on the accommodation / sauna enjoyed absolutely relaxing days that were not disturbed by anything. The private sauna was of course the perfect end to each day for us. Just for info: the shower in the bathroom must be adjusted with fingertip feeling, as the range between cold and very hot is quite small!!! Otherwise, everything is so what of beautiful and well-kept ( outdoor facilities / pool) one would not want to leave! We definitely want to come back!!! Everything was as seen in the photos. We were for a week in el sitiu vacation home, which is very stylish and absolutely high quality furnishings. Unique was the free stone outdoor shower, which we have not seen before. The journey was a bit of getting used to, as you are not necessarily used to such roads. In 45 minutes you were at the sea and you had the magnificent landscape anyway in front of the door; so you could also start hiking directly. The weather was very good in November - except for two days. However, in the two days we hung in the clouds. Christian and Benedikt, the caretakers of the houses were super nice !!!!. We were already almost 10 times on La palma and can recommend this finca without reservation. We will come again and of course we will recommend you. TOP *****

What does time mean when it doesn't matter? Decelerate, you can live here! One week we lived in another world! In harmony with nature, you could feel silence here ... The Hacienda with its five Fincas is located in absolute isolation surrounded by forests and mountains. Each of the fincas is different and unique and is situated in such a way that one is undisturbed. "El Sitio", our accommodation is beautifully situated. The "sleeping cave" is relatively new and shows that at the Hacienda new ideas are always being created and implemented. El Sitio" has its own sauna and outdoor shower in the open air. A community pool offers another place to unwind. The starry sky above the hacienda is simply magnificent. Christian and Benjamin, the on-site managers who took care of us, were always there when you needed them and gave many valuable tips as well as insight into island life. They deserve a special star. Everything was exactly as shown in the pictures: Size, design and furnishings. No photo trickery as otherwise often encountered. To capture the gorgeous view, one picture is not enough anyway. Praise for the Hacienda and El Sitio goes first to all the hardworking hands that make this beautiful spot of nature blossom in a creative yet pristine way. Thanks to the friendly care of Christian, Daniel and Nathan. Nestled in the vineyard, integrated into nature, we found not only the light-flooded El Sitio as a pleasant accommodation. The adjacent spacious sauna, the open-air shower and the ample open space in front of the finca complete the experience of relaxation. Unforgettable for us are the romantic sunsets over the clouds, which can be experienced from the pool with a glass of red wine from our own harvest. The vacation in the Hacienda and especially in El Sitio will remain an unforgettable experience for us. And: we will come again! By the way: (1) The pictures shown on the internet do not lie. It is at least as beautiful as pictured - only the singing of the birds could not be captured. (2) Actually, it is detrimental (to us) to give such positive feedback, because: the more guests decide to stay at the Hacienda, the worse is the chance that next time the accommodation will be available at the desired date. The finca is located in the most beautiful areas of La Palma high above sea level. Very good air, fantastic tranquility, fantastic starry sky let in an architecturally wonderful cottage with sauna and large outdoor shower area body and senses really come to rest.With their very friendly and unobtrusive nature Benjamin and Christian were furthermore perfect hosts. The house is located at 1300 m above sea level between pine forest and vineyards. It is accessible by a bumpy road that requires a sturdy car. The pictures show the elegant style of the house. To the next village it is about 20 min by car. The pool is fantastic and you want to enjoy the sunset every evening. Bathing under a starry sky or sleeping in a bed under a starry sky is always possible.

Thank you very much for nice review! We are glad that you enjoyed the three weeks in August this year so much. Indeed, we recommend a good rental car for La Palma. Many of the most beautiful destinations on the island, such as the swimming spots on the northwest coast, hikes in the loorbeer forests or in the almond groves and vineyards require sufficient horsepower and some ground clearance. We ourselves mostly book the Renault Kangoo or FIAT Panda 4x4 from the car rental company Monta Cars. Then an important hint for all following guests: Overnight stays under the open starry sky which Matthias liked so much are only possible in the summer months. Normally, due to our altitude, it cools down significantly at night and only in the morning when there is direct sunlight again it warms up pleasantly. In the time from October to April there is the possibility to watch the stars in the hot water of a wood fired hot tub at the pool. Great views during the day and at night, constantly above the clouds, which is especially fun at/in the pool. Lizards that almost run over the feet of the visitor. Connection to the cat family and a professional and at the same time loving care by the team around Marika, Benjamin and Christian. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back.

I can recommend this vacation home in good conscience to 100%, because I was really thrilled. We were accommodated in the El Sitio. The house was (as you could see from the first entry in the guestbook) rented for the first time in April 2015, so it is still very new. The architecture is successful and fits wonderfully into the nature by the large window fronts and the round walls. The furnishings are very high quality and well maintained throughout: - individual, handmade wooden furniture (necessary with round walls 🙂 ) - private sauna attached to the house from a German supplier - great, very well working wood stove - induction hob - dishwasher - all necessary kitchen utensils were available and also high quality branded items throughout (e.g. pots and cutlery from WMF) - Dimmable light The terrace in front of the house is on the south side with a wonderful view of the Canary pine forest. Also in front of the house is a warm rain outdoor shower, a Kneipp hose, a bucket shower and a Kneipp bucket. This shower area is built of the warm natural stones found throughout the hacienda. Simply amazing! At night this area is still illuminated with indirect light. Of course there is also a barbecue, deck chairs, umbrella and clothes horse. What else is there to say about the Hacienda in general? - Pool. Like the whole area, the pool is very nice and you have a wonderful view of the sea or the clouds passing by below the hacienda. - A highlight is the hot tub. So a wooden hot tub, which is heated with wood stove. We sat down in the tub just before the sun went down and had a glass of wine and watched the stars. - Stars can be observed super, because the Hacienda is quite high up. There is a telescope that visitors can use. - There is an own spring, where you can always get fresh water. - The entire facility is super well maintained and lovingly designed through and through. As a highlight, wine is grown, which we were also allowed to taste. Very tasty! Finally, a word about the service. Thumbs up! Benjamin welcomed us very friendly directly upon arrival, explained everything to us and was also during the vacation always there for us if we had questions. Many thanks for that! Thank you very much for very good rating! We were especially pleased about the exact descriptions of the details that you liked so much. By the way, from March 2017 there will be a small extension for El Sitio with an additional bedroom. The bedroom is directly connected with a door and integrated as a cave in the mountain. It has a double bed so that in the future up to 4 people can live in the house. In the hotter summer months the room in the mountain will be pleasantly cooled. My high expectations have simply been exceeded!!! The most beautiful location, great loving furnishings, brilliant combination of mountain, sea view, almond trees, pines and beautiful plants, comfort, peace and birdsong (canaries!). The almond blossom this year already at the beginning of January has certainly also made a good contribution. Dear Hacienda Team, we had a wonderful week full of relaxation on your estate! Our small vacation home El Sitio has fully met our expectations and the private sauna, the outdoor shower and the great property have even exceeded our expectations. It was so wonderfully uncomplicated with you :-). We used the hot tub with a beautiful sunset and starry sky - where else can you do that? The pool is beautiful and the view of the Atlantic spectacular. We went in only a few times, because it was quite fresh now in January - but it was still great and is at a warmer time of year certainly the hammer. What we found great: the own water source with mountain spring water - no water bottle dragging and always super water on site :-). What a heavenly place of peace, a starry sky like you see almost nowhere else and a magnificent view of the sea and the clouds that often reminded us of our snow mountains. El Sitio, as well as the whole area around the hacienda, is maintained and cared for with a lot of love, the furnishings of the house leave nothing to be desired and the small but fine stove we enjoyed very much on cool evenings a few times. The beautiful plants, almond trees, bees, cats, flowers, herbs and succulents around the house have touched our senses. The sauna as well as the cool outdoor shower were the "icing on the cake"! Benjamin & Lukas, the two employees of the Hacienda make this place an oasis thank you! Also a big thank you to Tobias, who made it possible for us to inaugurate El Sitio as our first guests. It's a very isolated place, which was what we were looking for. Would recommend a car with a high clearance and four wheel drive for peace of mind! But the location itself is unbeatable. The nearby restaurant is also quite good.
