The area around the pool offers a high degree of privacy. Rock gardens with succulents and subtropical plants as well as the different heights and orientations of the terraces create areas protected from view. This makes the difference to other vacation rentals with shared facilities.

Access to the pool area via the vertical rock gardens with fragrant herbs and endemic plants is another highlight.

Don Pedro, the good spirit of the finca, naturally always arouses our guests’ desires and, as a charmer himself, he knows how to use his popularity to the full. Nevertheless, we must point out that our furry nose is also on the hunt for mice in the service of the finca and receives his food from the team 😉

He is also not allowed in the vacation homes, as we always have allergy sufferers visiting who want to spend their well-deserved vacation with us without red eyes.

We have WIFI in all our vacation homes, the internet connection is very stable and is provided by radio relay. The speed of over 20Mbps download and 5Mbps upload is sufficient for video conferencing and office use.

Old villas and stately buildings on the Canary Islands need a lot of care and resources. Large new buildings interfere with nature and are difficult to integrate into the landscape. With El Sitio, we are taking a different approach: the landscape shows us how much space we are using for the building. For this reason, the interior living space of El Sitio is 65m². Please check whether this size meets your requirements before booking.

The journey from Santa Cruz airport to Hacienda La Palma takes around 1.5 – 2 hours. There are shopping opportunities along the way, for example in El Paso, Los Llanos or Puntagorda. We will be happy to provide you with further recommendations before your arrival.

After leaving the well-maintained LP 111 road, access to the hacienda is via a steep concrete track for about 500 meters. The last 100 meters lead along a forest path. The navigation systems do not work properly in this region. Please use our directions and the video link that we will provide you with after booking.

We will be happy to help you book a suitable rental car. Regardless of where you book your vehicle: Please note that La Palma is a steep island. With sufficient horsepower and ground clearance, it is much more pleasant to drive. We recommend vehicles from 75-80 hp such as the Citroen Berlingo or FIAT Panda 4×4 from Monta Cars.

The Hacienda is only suitable for younger children to a limited extent. There are steps and slopes due to the hillside location. We will be happy to advise you in advance so that you can decide whether it suits you.

Please note that our vacation homes have a secluded location in the middle of the vineyard. Reachable from the parking lot via longer footpaths. We will be happy to help you with your luggage.

Although our photos may give you a different impression: We are not a vacation resort with ‘luxury villas’ but an organically run winery. For our vacation guests we offer well-equipped vacation homes, fincas, vacation apartments and our Tiny House Bird’s Nest.

As we are in the middle of nature, we have beneficial insects. For example bees, birds, ichneumon wasps or ground beetles and others. We make sure that these do not get into the houses. If you have special allergies or similar, we ask you to check whether a vacation with us makes sense.
